Features, Description, Q&A, Specs & Installation
Versatile Engine Conversion Component. The Mr. Gasket LS Water Neck Swivel; 30-Degree Angle; Black is engineered to support engine swaps by enabling the outlet to rotate a full 360 degrees and adjust to a 30-degree angle. This design simplifies hose alignment between the engine coolant ports and radiator, facilitating seamless integration and optimal cooling performance in modified engine setups.
Construction and Appearance. Made from die-cast aluminum, this water neck provides excellent strength and corrosion resistance. It boasts a satin black finish for enhanced durability and a sleek, modern custom look. The thick mounting flange resists warping to ensure a secure, leak-free coolant seal, and stainless steel Allen head screws mount flush against the flange for a clean finish.
Installation. Installation is straightforward in most conversion applications, with no additional drilling typically required due to the swivel and adjustable outlet design that eases radiator hose alignment. The included stainless steel cap screws help secure the unit without modification.
Warranty. Backed by the manufacturer's limited 90-day warranty.
Application. Fits 1997-2020 GM Gen III/IV LS-based engines, excluding Gen V engines. For the 1997-2003 and 2009 engine years, use of the 2004-2008 style thermostat is required for proper operation. This water neck also fits the 2007-2015 V8 Yukon as a notable example within its broader compatibility range.
