      Description

      SAFETY DEVICE IN RECOVERY SYSTEM. The MAXTRAX Rope Dampener enhances recovery safety by reducing recoil energy in ropes during vehicle recovery operations. It is designed to be positioned near the MAXTRAX Fuse Shackle and connects easily to rope loops, providing a critical dampening effect that mitigates whip-back hazards if the rope fails under load.

      CONSTRUCTION AND APPEARANCE. The dampener comprises two fabric sleeves intended to hold weighted materials such as sand or water bottles for mass. It features durable materials suitable for rugged environments, with secure clip closures that fold over the sleeves’ edges to retain weight and maintain integrity during use.

      INSTALLATION. Installation is straightforward and does not require tools or drilling. The dampener connects to existing recovery ropes through the MAXTRAX Fuse Shackle, allowing quick and effective setup in the field.
