      • Prepare the Rope Dampener by placing weighted materials or objects such as sand or water bottles into the two sleeves.

      • Close the Rope Dampener sleeves by folding over the edge twice and securing the clips.
        • _x000D_
      • Using a Fuse Shackle, feed the open Fuse Shackle through the loop on the Rope Dampener, then through the rope loop of a kinetic rope, static rope, or winch rope next to the attached Fuse Shackle in the recovery system.

      • Slide the Fuse Shackle loop over the knot and pull both sides of the Fuse Shackle to tighten the loop, positioning the knot so that the loop pulls at 90 degrees next to the knot.

      • Drape the Rope Dampener over the attached rope or allow it to hang down.

      • Fits recovery systems using the MAXTRAX Fuse Shackle.

      Description

It is positioned near the Fuse Shackle in the recovery system and used with MAXTRAX kinetic, static, or winch ropes. This component helps minimize the risk of injury or damage by dampening the rope's snap-back effect in case of rope failure.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward with no drilling required. Simply load the sleeves with weights, secure the clips, and attach the dampener to the recovery rope and Fuse Shackle as instructed.
