      Description

      Superior Protection Under Heavy Use. This K&N Premium Oil Filter delivers extended engine protection by combining a deep-pleat synthetic media with a sturdy steel base. The media captures more contaminants per pleat than conventional filters, reducing wear on critical engine components even under towing or off-road conditions.

      Engineered for Reliability. An anti-drain back valve prevents oil from draining out of the filter when the engine is off, ensuring immediate lubrication on startup. The built-in bypass valve ensures continuous oil flow if the filter becomes clogged, protecting the engine against starvation.

      Installation. This product installs as a direct replacement for the factory oil filter: apply a thin film of oil to the new gasket, thread the filter onto the engine’s filter mount, and hand-tighten to specification—no special tools required.

      Application. This K&N Premium Oil Filter fits 2001–2006 Silverado 2500 HD models equipped with the 8.1-liter Vortec engine.
