Description
Satellite Radio Upgrade. This FCA SiriusXM Satellite Radio Antenna Upgrade Kit provides a comprehensive solution to add or upgrade SiriusXM satellite radio functionality in compatible Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and RAM vehicles. The kit is designed for plug and play installation with factory OEM radios equipped with SiriusXM tuners, enabling reliable satellite radio reception through multiple antenna mounting options.
Construction and Applications. The kit offers three antenna types to suit various installation preferences and vehicle requirements. The roof-mounted hard mount option features a dual antenna housed in weather-resistant casing with factory-style mounting hardware, suitable for all 2007-2021 navigation and non-navigation radios but requires drilling. The soft mount option includes a SiriusXM antenna, GPS antenna, and multiplexer to support 2011-2021 navigation or compass radios without drilling. The magnetic mount option installs magnetically on interior or exterior surfaces for 2007-2021 non-navigation radios and select 2009-2010 navigation radios, providing a non-invasive, no-drill installation.
Installation. Installation difficulty is rated 3 out of 5 due to the need for roof drilling on the hard mount option and cable routing behind the radio cavity. Soft mount and magnetic mount options offer easier installation without drilling. Installation hardware is included with the hard mount kit for secure attachment. Some vehicle models may require partial dash removal to complete the installation.
Application. Compatible with a wide range of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and RAM vehicles from 2007 through 2021, supporting different antenna configurations based on the vehicle's radio application. GPS antenna is sold separately for navigation-only upgrades.
