Provides Excellent Horsepower and Acceleration. The Airaid Modular Intake Tube is made out of cross-linked, high-density polyurethane material that's meant to straighten the flow of the air in your cold air intake. The modular tube provides a smooth path to the air filter and engine, which makes it easier for air to move freely. The air then cools the engine and boosts its acceleration and horsepower.

A Better Option. The Airaid Modular Intake Tube replaces the stock intake tube. By making the switch, you are lowering your engine's temperature in a more consistent and efficient manner.

No Drilling, Fitting, or Forcing Required. The Airaid Modular Intake Tube will fit in any cold air intake system, regardless of its brand or make. Also, installing the tube takes very little time. You don't have to drill or force it. Just replace the stock intake tube with it and you're ready to go!

Application. This Airaid Modular Intake Tube is made to fit on 2014-2018 5.3L GMC Sierras.

            Great intake tube

Definitely looks better under the hood and noticeable improvement in throttle response. Great alternative to a full cold air intake system, keeps stock airbox.

            Easy install1

Super easy to install. Noticed a little improvement in throttle response, mostly in 1-3rd gears. Gives the engine a nice throaty sound. I opted to just add an AEM filter to the stock filter box. Search GM-Trucks forum, this combination showed higher gains then any cold air intake system.(dyno) happy with purchase!

            Great Sound

So I picked this up around two weeks ago and I really like it. I had to have it shipped to FL first and then to me in Cali since its not CARB legal. I did notice the instant sound difference in the 2-3k RPM ranges. You'll get a quick deep, sound most of the time just accelerating as normal. But when you open it up and keep it between the 2-3k range is when you REALLY hear the motor rumble. Im still trying to see if my gas has had any significant impact. After i put it on my MPG did drop by... a lot. But, I was also mashing the peddle pretty good. It does seem to use a bit more fuel over stock. But it makes sense since you are allowing more free flowing air into the engine at your lower end over the stock heat soaking/noise deadening intake. To keep your fuel at around the stock intake numbers, you'll need to baby the throttle a bit more. You should also notice a definite throttle increase. Its not any faster on the high end, but again your low end torque is deffintly increased. My only negatives are that I have noticed odd power...dynamics...for lack of a better word while in low gear going up hill. It could have been the V4 mode trying to kick in or out and only noticing it becuase you can actually hear the engine with the tube. Otherwise its an awesome product. One other tip. If you take your air box out and remove the front face where the snorkel goes into the fender-well, you'll notice a round imprint on the plastic. If you cut that out it will match up with the smaller whole in the fender-well. It will allow more air to get into your air box.

            Meh

I didn’t notice anything different performance wise. It did cause a check engine light.

            Intake Tube

Good quality, excellent fit, easy to install. Gets rid of the stock intake that takes up all the space in the engine bay. A little bit louder under throttle with maybe a little bit of a performance gain.

            Quality Air Intake Piping

Many mess ups with the out of stock system and the delivery process. The staff was very helpful and were quick to respond to a couple of my issues. The Product itself was of good quality and took no time to install. It Sounds good, and has a better throttle response.

Review from Airaid Modular Intake Tube (14-18 5.3L Silverado 1500)

Good product and did what I was expecting it to.

Super easy to install. Maybe took all of 15 mins. Instructions were easy to read. All parts and pieces were in the box and the fittment to the throttle body and airbox was great. I didn't notice any differences in performance but do have a nice low rumble under acceleration. Utilizes the stock airbox and whatever filter you have dropped in. Quieter than the FIPK from KandN but way less $$$.
