Description
Performance Race Muffler. The Flowmaster Outlaw Series Center/Center Shorty Race Muffler features a 3-inch inlet and outlet designed for racing environments where muffler noise limits are relaxed. It delivers maximum horsepower and torque benefits with an aggressive exhaust tone tailored for competition use.
Construction and Appearance. Constructed from durable 16 gauge aluminized steel, this muffler has a compact round case shape to facilitate installation in tight spaces. It is fully welded for enhanced durability and finished with a high-temperature paint coating to resist corrosion and maintain appearance.
Installation. This universal-fit muffler uses slip-fit inlet and outlet connections suitable for clamp-on or weld-on installation. Modifications or basic exhaust adaptations are typically required. New hangers must be sourced separately as none are included with the muffler.
Fitment and Application. Designed for classic and late model muscle cars as well as race vehicles, this muffler fits most applications but may require some adaptation. It is directional with internal rings angled toward the outlet, so proper orientation should be observed during installation.
