1. Verify kit contents.
2. Remove protective wrapping from inserts and place on a non-abrasive surface.
3. Remove the brackets and hardware from the box.
B. Remove Factory Grille & Frame Assembly
1. Open hood. (Fig. B1)
2. Remove eighteen 8mm nuts and bolts that hold the frame and grille in place.(Fig. B2)
IMPORTANT: Keep all hardware in a safe location. You will need this to reinstall your grille.
3. After removing the grille shell lay grille face down on a protective work surface such as a blanket.
1. Remove the factory grille insert by prying the plastic tabs apart with a screwdriver. (Fig. C1)
2. With all of the tabs free you may now remove the factory grille insert.
3. Repeat step one and two on the opposite side to remove the factory grille insert.
IMPORTANT: You may want to store your factory grille insert in a safe place for future use.
1. Align the tabs with the corresponding mounting points on the grille insert.
2. With grille in possition apply the foam spacer on to the tab and then place metal mounting clip over the spacer. (Fig. D1)
i. NOTE: Cut a slit in the center of the foam spacer.
3. Repeat step two for the remaining tabs.
1. With the installation of your grille you now need to reinstall your factory grille into your truck.
2. Assemble the frame to the grille using the 8mm bolts.
3. Assemble the grille and frame to the hood of the truck
4. Make sure all nuts and bolts are tight and that your grille insert is secure.
5. Close hood.
