Engine And Exhaust Heat Protection. The Heat Screen 12-Inch x 24-Inch is designed to prevent the intrusion of heat from engines and exhaust systems into vehicle interiors and sensitive components. It provides an effective radiant heat reflection solution, easily trimmed and adapted to various applications where excessive heat poses a problem.
Construction And Appearance. This product is made from high temperature resistant fiberglass with a thin profile of 0.060 inches. One side features a high-quality reflective aluminized mylar surface that endures direct heat exposure up to 1200 degrees Fahrenheit, offering a durable and efficient thermal barrier for protecting vehicle surfaces.
Installation. Installation is straightforward due to the product’s flexibility and adhesive backing, allowing it to be applied without drilling. It can also be secured with fasteners if needed for added stability, and trimming to size ensures a custom fit.
Application. Fits universal applications with some adaptation required. It is not intended for direct contact with exhaust components but is suitable for protecting painted surfaces, fuel tanks near exhaust pipes, floorboards, body panels, and under carpeting where heat shielding is needed.
