Description
Wireless Camera Integration. This Wireless Camera Kit is designed for use with factory radio displays measuring 4", 5", or 8.4". It enables users to add a digital wireless rear camera to the existing factory display and toggle between the factory backup camera and the wireless camera when the vehicle is in reverse. It is compatible with pre-wired Furrion systems on trailers or campers, supporting integration without the need for extra monitors.
Construction and Appearance. The camera is housed in a durable aluminum alloy weather-tight case with a steel mounting bracket for secure installation. It features a 1/4" Sony Color CMOS sensor paired with a 2.5mm lens, delivering up to 700 TVL resolution images. Twelve infrared LEDs enable night vision up to 15 meters, and the unit is IP69 rated for resistance to water, dust, shock, high temperature, and humidity to ensure long-lasting use in harsh conditions.
Installation. Installing the system requires removing the factory radio to access the rear camera connection, then connecting the provided multi-cam interface and wireless receiver. The camera mounts to the trailer with a bracket compatible with existing Furrion prewired power sources. This process does not require drilling or additional wiring at the camera location, simplifying installation.
Warranty. The kit includes a 3-year warranty, providing coverage for reliability and performance during extended use.
Application. Designed to fit RAM trucks from 2013 through 2018, including 1500, 2500, and HD models equipped with factory backup cameras and compatible 4", 5", or 8.4" factory display systems, this kit ensures proper integration with factory-installed electronics.
