Description
Improved Handling for Your Lifted Ride. Providing your F-250 Super Duty a lift can alter its handling – and often not in a good way. Provide your 2 to 4-inch lifted truck with the handling it deserves with the Bilstein B8 5100 Series Rear Shock for 2 to 4-Inch Lift. This rear shock features a monotube gas-charged build which in itself provides superior damping performance. What sets this shock apart from the pack is its exclusive velocity-sensitive digressive valving technology which provides instantaneous and “customized” damping response. The result is extremely accurate handling both off- and on-road. Moreover, this shock provides a firm but smooth ride quality on the highway, making it ideal for daily drivers.
High Strength Build Quality. This rear shock absorber’s body is made from high-grade tubular steel that’s then machined to achieve a 46mm width. This gives it superior durability and excellent heat dissipation for consistent performance. The 14mm piston rod is similarly machined from chrome-hardened steel, making it tough enough for the open trail. This shock is then outfitted with high-quality neoprene rubber bushings designed to effectively dampen vibrations for a smoother ride. Lastly, this component is finished in zinc plating and a clear topcoat for maximum corrosion protection.
Efficient Install Procedure. This rear shock will install into your Super Duty’s stock rear shock location. No extra drilling or other modifications are needed in most applications. Also, installation is completed using just standard hand tools.
