      Description

The BD Power Diesel Positive Air Shut-Off; Manual Controlled is designed to safely and effectively shut down diesel engines in emergency situations by cutting off the air intake supply. It is used primarily to prevent catastrophic engine failure caused by diesel engine runaway, a rare but dangerous condition when external hydrocarbons enter the engine. This device ensures quick engine shutdown to protect both the vehicle and operator.

      Construction and Appearance. This unit features a butterfly valve made from durable aluminum and stainless steel components that resist corrosion. It includes weatherproof electrical connectors and a unique bead lock system to secure boots without the need for welding, contributing to its compact and robust design.

      Installation. Installation typically requires approximately three hours and does not involve welding or complex modifications. The process is straightforward with included locking features to hold the valve securely in place.

      Warranty. The product is backed by a 24-month or 24,000-mile warranty on parts.
