The BD Power Allison 1000 Transmission, including the $1800 core charge, is engineered to significantly enhance drivetrain strength and reliability, enabling it to handle increased power and torque beyond stock specifications. It is designed for demanding applications requiring durability and high performance, especially in towing and heavy hauling scenarios.

      Construction and Features. This transmission includes a BD aluminum heavy-duty deep transmission pan that increases oil capacity by 3.5 quarts, enhancing cooling and lubrication. It incorporates high energy friction materials, revised oil circuits, a new converter lock-up valve to boost lock-up pressures, and upgraded A & B trim valves that deliver full line pressure to the clutches. The transmission features an eye-catching, rugged finish built to endure harsh operating conditions.

      Installation. Installation generally takes about 7 hours and follows standard transmission replacement procedures without requiring any additional drilling. It is important to install a BD torque converter to maintain the warranty coverage.

      Warranty. This transmission comes with a 36-month or 150,000-mile parts warranty and 12 months or 24,000 miles of labor coverage. Warranty does not cover damage from race abuse.
