Description
Powerful Exhaust Brake. The BD Power Exhaust Brake for Aftermarket 4-Inch Exhaust System is engineered to increase towing confidence by providing up to 150 retarding horsepower. It works by creating controlled back pressure within the exhaust system to help slow the vehicle, making it especially useful for steep descents and heavy loads.
Construction And Appearance. Made from cast iron, the exhaust brake is designed to withstand extreme heat cycles and provide long-lasting durability. The robust construction ensures reliable performance without the need for an air compressor, thereby reducing system complexity and potential failure points.
Installation. Installation is straightforward, typically taking about three hours. It installs inline with the vehicle's existing exhaust system while retaining the use of the OEM dash button for convenient control.
Warranty. This product includes a 24-month or 24,000-mile parts warranty and a 12-month or 12,000-mile labor warranty.
Application. Designed specifically to fit 2007.5-2012 Ram 2500 and 3500 6.7L Cummins diesel engines. Engine tuning is required to maintain proper brake function. This product is not legal for sale or use on licensed California vehicles due to state regulations.
