The BD Power Roadmaster 68RFE Transmission and Converter Package, including a $2800 core charge, is a complete upgrade designed to enhance the reliability and performance of 6.7L Cummins diesel trucks. This transmission and torque converter kit optimizes line pressure, cooling, and torque handling, making it suitable for stock and mildly tuned vehicles used in street and towing applications. It focuses on eliminating common failure points and improving low RPM responsiveness for smoother operation.

      Construction and Appearance. The package includes a valve body with a custom bonded gasket separator plate that boosts line pressure while preventing internal leaks. The transmission features a BD deep sump aluminum oil pan for increased fluid capacity and better cooling. The ProForce torque converter is equipped with a billet forged front cover with thicker walls and reinforced mounting pads, a high-performance enhanced stall stator for improved low RPM response, and furnace-brazed turbine fins to enhance fluid coupling efficiency. All components are finished for durability and long service life.

      Installation. Installation typically requires about nine hours and involves replacing the factory transmission and torque converter. Special tuning adjustments are necessary for 2019 and newer models to increase line pressure.
