      Description

      High-Performance Transmission. The BD Power 68RFE Transmission; $2100 Core Charge Included is engineered to address common failures in the stock 68RFE, enhancing durability and torque capacity. Built to withstand high line pressures, it provides superior clutch strength for demanding towing and hauling applications.

      Construction and Appearance. Featuring hard anodized valve bodies, billet spring retainers, and heavy-duty cam and roller clutches, this transmission includes a custom bonded gasket valve body separator plate and steel girdles for increased strength and reliability. A deep sump oil pan adds extra fluid capacity and improved cooling, reducing case flex. Components are finished with durable coatings designed to extend service life.

      Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical skill and approximately 9 hours of labor. This direct-fit transmission does not require drilling or modifications when paired with a compatible torque converter.

      Warranty. It includes a 36-month or 150,000-mile parts warranty and a 12-month or 24,000-mile labor warranty. Use of a non-BD torque converter will void the warranty.
