Description

The BD Power 48RE Transmission Valve Body, including a $300 core charge, is engineered to enhance transmission performance by providing precise manual control over gear selection. Built to improve shift quality and increase clutch holding capacity, this valve body extends transmission life under demanding conditions such as racing and heavy towing.
Construction and Appearance. Featuring carefully modified components, including a custom manual separator plate, the valve body incorporates hand-lapped surfaces to reduce internal leakage. It also includes revised valves and larger oil ports, finished with a durable texture designed for high-performance use.
Installation. Moderate mechanical skill is required for installation, which typically takes about four hours. This valve body is a direct-fit upgrade and does not require drilling or major modifications to the transmission.
Warranty. This product comes with a 12-month or 24,000-mile warranty covering both parts and labor.
