The BD Power 48RE Transmission with Filter Kit, including an $1800 core charge, is engineered to enhance the durability of your drivetrain by delivering superior torque converter lock-up clutch control and improved shifting performance. It works seamlessly with stock shifting and incorporates gear limiting functions to boost reliability under demanding conditions.

      Construction and Appearance. Crafted from premium materials, this transmission replaces stock thrust bushings with roller Torrington bearings, enhancing longevity and durability. It features an upgraded valve body, increased line pressure, and a rigid aluminum heavy-duty transmission pan equipped with heat-dissipating fins and a magnetic drain plug, designed to optimize heat management and expand oil capacity.

      Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical skills, including sensor replacement and cooler flushing. The sealed plug-in wiring harness design eliminates the need for cutting or tapping wires. Estimated installation time is approximately 7 hours and 30 minutes.

      Warranty. This product includes a 36-month/150,000-mile parts warranty and a 12-month/24,000-mile labor warranty. It is not warranted for use in racing or sled pull applications.
