The Banks Power Ram-Air Cold Air Intake with Dry Filter improves engine performance by feeding cooler, denser outside air to Chevy and GMC gas engines, thereby increasing power output and fuel efficiency. This intake system is designed to replace the stock air intake, providing enhanced airflow and reducing intake air temperatures for better combustion.

      Construction and Appearance. This intake system features an enclosed housing that shields the filter from hot engine air, ensuring only cool air is drawn in. It includes a large-capacity dry air filter element for optimal filtration and longevity, and the design accommodates engine movement to maintain durability and fitment. The finish is functional with a focus on airflow efficiency and engine protection.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward and does not require drilling, making it accessible for most mechanically inclined users. The process involves swapping the stock air intake with the Banks Ram-Air system, and repositioning the electric pressure sensor if equipped.

      Application. This intake system fits 2009-2014 5.3L Yukon and Silverado/Sierra 1500 gas models equipped with an electric fan and mechanical filter minder. It does not fit 2500 or 3500 diesel models and requires removal of the stock electric pressure sensor to avoid sensor inaccuracies after installation.
