      The ATS GM Solenoid Block Conversion Kit is installed inside the transmission, specifically in the valve body of the 47RE and 48RE automatic transmissions found in 1996-2007 Dodge Ram trucks with the 5.9L Cummins.
      It replaces the factory governor pressure solenoid, which controls hydraulic pressure for shift timing and firmness. The GM solenoid upgrade provides more precise pressure control, reducing transmission slipping, improving shift quality, and enhancing reliability especially under towing or performance conditions.
