Description
PowerStep Retractable Running Boards. The Amp Research PowerStep Plug offers motorized, automatic running boards that deploy when the vehicle door opens and retract shortly after closing, providing a sleek and functional design. These steps improve accessibility by lowering significantly compared to fixed steps, making it easier to enter and exit the vehicle while preserving ground clearance when retracted.
Construction and Appearance. Built from corrosion-resistant die-cast aluminum, these running boards have a durable military-grade black PTFE coating that resists oxidation and abrasions. The 6-inch-wide steps feature a textured surface for slip resistance, combining premium materials with a rugged yet refined look ideal for heavy-duty vehicles.
Installation. Installation requires drilling and is recommended for professional installers or experienced DIYers with the proper tools. The kit includes all necessary mounting hardware and vehicle-specific instructions for complete setup.
Warranty. The product is backed by a 5-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and proper installation.
Application. Specifically designed to fit 2015-2016 6.6L Duramax Silverado 3500 HD Double Cab and Crew Cab models, with trimming required on Double Cab variants for an accurate fit.
