Description
Power-Retractable Running Boards. The Amp Research PowerStep Running Boards provide an automatic stepping solution that deploys when the vehicle door opens and retracts when the door closes. This product improves accessibility to trucks and SUVs by offering a convenient step for passengers, enhancing ease of entry and exit without compromising vehicle aesthetics or ground clearance.
Construction and Appearance. Constructed from corrosion-resistant die-cast aluminum, these running boards feature a military-grade black PTFE coating for enhanced durability and a sleek look. The steps are textured for slip resistance and include integrated low-profile LED lighting to illuminate the step surface and surrounding area for increased safety.
Installation. Installation requires drilling and is recommended to be performed by professionals, although experienced DIYers can complete the process. A vehicle-specific mounting kit and detailed instructions, including a plug-n-play OBDII module where applicable, simplify the installation.
Warranty. This product comes with a comprehensive 5-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship.
Application. Specifically designed to fit 2011-2014 6.6L Duramax Silverado 2500 HD Extended Cab and Crew Cab models, with modifications needed for Extended Cab versions and incompatibility noted for gas engine HD models from 2011-2014.
