No Recalibration Required. AIRAID built this Cold Air Dam Intake to improve the performance of your truck without the need to reprogram your computer. By utilizing state-of-the-art computer-aided designs, this intake system will increase power using the factory tune. Even though a re-tune is not required for operation, AmericanTrucks recommends a custom tune to reprogram your vehicle’s ECU to get the best possible performance from this intake.
Efficient, Oiled, and Reusable Air Filter. This Cold Air Dam Intake System uses the SynthaFlow Oiled Air Filter to provide a cooler air charge. This filter features multiple layers of cotton and synthetic media and is designed for remarkable filtration capacity. Its pleated design and premium construction are durable enough to endure multiple cleaning cycles. Moreover, it allows larger air volume and faster velocity to intensify the cooler air charge.
Premium Construction. This intake kit is built for high performance and reliable functionality. The durable, roto-molded heat shield efficiently keeps the hotter air in the engine compartment from getting into the intake system. The black, cross-linked, high-density polyethylene intake tube is engineered to powerfully direct the cooler air into the combustion chamber.
