Even though a re-tune is not required for operation, AmericanTrucks recommends a custom tune to reprogram the vehicles computer (ECU) to get the best possible performance from this intake.

SynthaFlow® is a synthetic nano-fiber material that traps the smallest dirt particles that ordinary cotton-gauze “performance” filters just can’t capture. Airaid Premium Filters, with SynthaFlow® can capture particulates down to 2 microns in size. Best of all Premium Filters are washable and re-usable saving you money.

Custom One-Piece Air Box. The MXP Series air box is computer-designed to perform better than your RAM's stock air box. Its 1-piece, roto-molded plastic construction allows for better air flow with a built-in velocity stack. The cross-linked, high-density polyethylene intake tube has also been designed to promote optimal air flow and to maintain proper air flow readings and calibration.
