This red Wilwood AERO4 Rear Big Brake Kit With Drilled & Slotted Rotors can help you get more efficient, more powerful braking. The Spec 37 rotors come with fixed aluminum calipers allow the brake pads to produce consistent friction from both sides. This results in more stopping power, with enhanced efficiency and a comfortable feel.

      Fixed-Design Calipers Crafted From Aluminum. For enhanced braking power, Wilwood used 4-piston aluminum calipers in this big brake kit. This design means the clamping force occurs on both sides of the rotor, resulting in a more powerful braking action. Meanwhile, the hollow design and the use of aluminum result in a light but extra-strong structure. As a final touch, Wilwood added a striking red finish that withstands extreme heat, fading, and cracking.

      Spec 37 Carbon Iron Construction. Wilwood used Spec 37 carbon iron to craft the rotors that come with this brake kit. Spec 37 is a proprietary iron alloy formula that’s able to resist extreme heat and heavy wear-and-tear conditions, minimizing brake fade and extending service life. These rotors also sport a two-piece structure, making them more lightweight. Meanwhile, the cross-drilled holes and slots keep the rotor contact surface clean for a stronger brake pad bite. The vented vanes, on the other hand, improve heat dissipation. Finally, the iron hats with a fixed-mount design provide extra strength and support.

      Metallic BP-10 Pad Compound. Wilwood used BP-10 for the brake pads included in this kit. BP-10 is a metallic compound, with medium friction output that’s perfect for light to medium braking. Nonetheless, BP-10 brake pads can still be used for high-performance situations. These brake pads offer strong and quick-response braking power, producing less dust. They’re also less abrasive to the rotors, extending the lifespan of both rotors and pads.

      Can Be Used as Direct-Fit Replacements or Upgrades. This brake kit is designed for a direct fit, whether you’re using it to replace old parts or to upgrade existing components. If you have the auto-mechanical experience and the required tools, you may follow the enclosed instructions for a DIY installation. Otherwise, it’s best to seek professional help. The installation can be finished in a couple of hours, after which you should break-in the kit by following the steps in the instructions.

      Rear Big Brake Upgrade Kit. This Wilwood AERO4 series rear big brake kit features a complete set of 4-piston calipers, two-piece rotors, and rear brake pads. For a hassle-free, bolt-on installation, all the mounting hardware and accessories are already included in the kit.

      Application. This red Wilwood AERO4 Rear Big Brake Kit With Drilled & Slotted Rotors can be installed on 1999-2018 editions of the GMC Sierra 1500.
