Just purchased a 2019 GMC Sierra 5.3L SLT with 4WD and I'm itching to start power and brake mods. Anyone spec'd out the new for 2019 model (with the 8 speed transmission and dynamic fuel management) for compatibility with this Kit? If not, any idea when or if this might happen? 1 answer

• As soon as we are able to confirm compatibility with the setup, including the actual PCM itself, we will adjust the listing. At the time of my writing it is not yet designed to work with the 2019 model year. The tune is typically the biggest issue for the supercharger itself.

• Fuel economy will be relatively unaffected during normal driving. Fuel consumption will be significantly higher if you are accelerating rapidly at wide open throttle or towing heavy loads.

Once Installed, will I need to make any changes or will I be able to make changes for DEQ emissions test? or does it not matter? 1 answer

• The Whipple W175FF 2.9L Intercooled Supercharger Kit is a complete kit and will require no changes other than what is included in the kit. Unfortunately we are not aware of a DEQ emissions test, so we have no available information on this.

• The Whipple W175FF 2.9L Intercooled Supercharger Kit will absolutely require tuning to your vehicles computer in order for safe and proper operation. Depending on the state you reside in, this system may or may not pass an emissions test but will vary from state-to-state.  We highly recommend consulting with you state regulations on emissions to confirm if this is legal in your area. You can expect to lose a few miles per gallon when converting to a performance based supercharge system but you should expect to lose about 4-5 MGP but can vary depending on the tune equipped on your Mustang.

• The Whipple W175FF 2.9L Intercooled Supercharger Kit can be used with the auto stop/start feature. If your truck has a disable switch for this, it can be disabled and enabled.
