Description
Heavy Duty Tie Rod. The Synergy Manufacturing Heavy Duty Tie Rod is engineered to provide increased strength, precise steering, and enhanced durability for heavy-duty applications. It improves steering feel and reliability, especially for trucks equipped with oversized tires and carrying heavy loads. This tie rod effectively addresses common steering issues such as toe changes and bump steer associated with factory and aftermarket setups.
Construction and Appearance. Precision bent from 1.5" x .188 wall 4130 Chromoly tubing and heat treated for maximum strength, this tie rod features a two-stage abrasion-resistant powder coat finish that ensures superior corrosion resistance and long-lasting durability. The fully greaseable metal-on-metal tie rod ends include 4140 steel shanks, 1018 steel bearing housings, and heavy-duty nitrile-butadiene rubber boots with retaining springs for optimal protection and longevity.
Installation. Installation is bolt-on and requires no drilling or reaming, designed for straightforward assembly with basic hand tools. The tie rod allows easy adjustments without vehicle removal via the double adjuster sleeve and pinch bolt assembly.
Application. Designed specifically for the 00-01 4WD Ram 1500, this tie rod fits without any modifications or exclusions for these model years and configurations.
