Step 1: Safety first! Before you begin the installation, make sure that the vehicle is in park (or neutral for a manual transmission) with the parking brake set. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and verify that all components that are listed are present. Note: This kit was designed and tested on a stock engine without any custom tuning done to the engine computer. Removing the battery cable may erase the programmed radio stations. The anti-theft code will need to be entered into some radios after the battery cable is connected. The anti-theft code can typically be found in the owner’s manual or at your local dealership.

Step 2: Disconnect the IAT sensor connector.

Step 3: Loosen the clamp on the tube going to the throttle body.

Step 4: Unclip the four hold down clips on the air filter lid. The intake plenum and air box lid assembly will need be removed from the vehicle by lifting on the rear on the throttle body plenum. There are two ball sockets holding the plenum down. After these have released, set the assembly aside and remove the air filter.

Step 5: Unclip the PCV hose from the plenum and remove the intake plenum and air box lid assembly from the vehicle.

Step 6: Install the throttle body adapter ring onto the throttle body.

Step 7: Install the 90° boot on throttle body with the short side on the throttle body and clamp on the throttle body side to secure the boot in place. Install a second clamp but do not tighten at this time.

Step 8: Assemble the heat shield with the tabs on the inside of the heat shield. Now place the velocity stack adapter in the heat shield and install the supplied coupler making sure the coupler is pushed completely against the heat shield. Once the adapter and coupler are tight against the heat shield, tighten the clamp. Make sure that the clamp for the intake tube is installed but left loose at this time. Install the air filter and dress the heat shield with rubber seal.

Step 9: Install the heat shield making sure that the slots on the heat shield are inserted into the lower factory air box tabs. With the heat shield located in the tabs, using the 4 factory clips from the air box, clip heat shield into position.

Step 10: Remove the IAT sensor from the factory intake tube.

Step 11: Remove the factory O-ring from the IAT sensor.

Step 12: Install the grommet into the tube. Reinstall the factory IAT sensor.

Step 13: Install the intake tube into the heat shield coupler and then into the coupler on the throttle body. Once in position fully tighten the clamps.

Step 14: Install the vent barb into the factory connector. Install the new PCV breather line supplied in the kit. Once in place securely fasten with clamps provided.

Step 15: Unclip the wiring harness from the mounting location. Now connect the IAT sensor by pushing the connector on the sensor.

Step 16: Make sure that all clamps and hardware are fully tightened. Reconnect the battery cable and start the engine and let it warm up. Shut it off and inspect the installation once more for any loose clamps, wires, or hardware. Test drive & enjoy! Your installation is now complete. Periodically check all clamps and brackets.
