Description

Quick-Release Design. Unlike ordinary shackles, the Smittybilt 7/8 in. 6.5 Ton D-Ring Shackle features a quick-release system that allows the pin to slide off instead of unscrewing. The shackle includes a locking pin that’s attached with a lanyard to keep it from getting lost when not in use. It installs very quickly, saving you precious time when you need to set up a recovery rigging immediately.
Heavy-Duty Forged Construction. This Smittybilt D-Ring Shackle is forged from high-grade steel. It’s a stronger alternative to cast steel shackles. With zinc-coated surfaces, it’s impenetrable to rust and corrosion that can wear out the shackles prematurely. Smittybilt 7/8 in. 6.5 Ton D-Ring Shackle is the clear choice when you want extra towing performance to go with a longer service life.
Install on Proper Towing Points. Make sure that you install your Smittybilt D-Ring Shackles on reinforced towing or winching points. OEM bumpers may not be strong enough but off-road bumpers with D-ring mounts should be sufficient. The hitch receiver is also a good towing point but you’ll need a separate adapter to hang your shackles.
