Make the most of your new engine upgrades and achieve higher power output by adding on one of our truck mass air flow meters as well. The mass air flow meter, or MAF has an important job of detecting how much air is flowing through the manifold to your engine. It does this by heating up a wire or a film and detecting how quickly the air flow cools it down. This sensor lets the fuel injectors know how much fuel to send to the engine cylinders. With a stock engine your MAF should provide optimal performance, but you start missing out on potential performance upgrades if you add performance upgrades to your engine without moving to an upgraded MAF as well. If you add Silverado intake parts like Silverado cold air intakes, you should add one of our upgraded truck mass air flow meters as well. Our advanced meters are more effective at detecting the higher rate of air flow through the manifold than the stock meter is. This means that your engine will receive an appropriate amount of fuel to match up with the higher rate of air flow.
