      Description

      DOUBLE PLATINUM SPARK PLUG. The Double Platinum Spark Plug enhances engine performance by reducing misfires and maintaining consistent spark gaps over time. It is designed for engines using distributorless ignition systems (DIS) and supports longer service life with improved durability under high heat and pressure conditions.

      CONSTRUCTION AND APPEARANCE. Featuring a platinum-to-platinum electrode design, the spark plug uses high-quality platinum tips on both the center and ground electrodes to reduce gap erosion. The yttrium-enhanced ground electrode improves heat transfer and durability. The high alumina ceramic insulator ensures excellent thermal conductivity and dielectric strength, while the multi-rib insulator prevents flashover.

      INSTALLATION. Installation is straightforward and requires no drilling; it can be completed using standard hand tools and a torque wrench to meet manufacturer specifications. Careful attention should be given to the spark plug gap and securing of wiring or coil components during replacement.
