Description
Extended Travel Cv Axle. The Extended Travel CV Axle; Front is engineered to accommodate lifted vehicle suspensions by providing superior articulation and durability. It enhances suspension travel to handle extreme operating angles, ensuring reliable performance over rugged terrains. This axle improves the capability of 4WD vehicles by featuring advanced design elements that increase torque capacity and travel range.
Construction And Appearance. Made from raw steel for long-lasting durability, this axle includes a thermoplastic boot and a high-quality protective coating to resist corrosion. Its internal components feature vacuum vulcanized seals and precisely spaced ball bearings for smooth and abrasion-resistant operation. The bearing housings are constructed from impact-resistant polyamides to offer additional toughness and age resistance.
Installation. Installation is straightforward and generally does not require any drilling, designed to replace the original equipment axle with a direct fit. The axle nut and various spline counts ensure proper compatibility with the vehicle’s drivetrain components.
Warranty. This product includes a limited warranty, providing assurance of quality and reliability over time.
Application. Specifically made to fit the Dodge Ram 1500 models produced from 2002 to 2011, this axle assembly is intended for the front position in 4WD configurations and supports the increased articulation needs of lifted suspensions within this model range.
