Installation Notes. Bear in mind that with a 4x4 vehicle you have two sets of ring and pinion gears and that this one is designed for the front independent suspension of your GMC Sierra 1500 and it is an involved job to repair/replace it. It is recommended that you have driveline expertise as well as the proper tools and equipment in order to do this job properly and safely. If you do not have any of these things, it is recommended that you take this part to a certified mechanic and have them do the repairs.
