Rear Ring Gear and Pinion Kit - 4.88 Gears is a heavy duty set of gears for your 14 bolt differential. Built to handle the toughest of loads and perform for miles and miles to come, this gear set is designed with the highest of standards and an attention to detail that is unsurpassed in the industry.
Excellent Quality. Heavy duty means nothing if they are not forged and machined properly. These gears are made of 8620 steel and are heat tempered for hardness and durability. They are precision machined and then lapped to remove any small imperfections and to provide a top flight, precision fit and smooth and quiet operation.
Installation Notes. Working on drivetrains is an involved job that will take time and special tools and equipment. Further, you will need to have some expertise or familiarity with how drivetrains work and their care and maintenance. If you are not comfortable working on the drivetrain of your truck or do not have the proper tools or equipment then it is recommended that you take this part to a certified mechanic and have them conduct the repairs.
