Description
Engine Protection Solution. The Mishimoto Magnetic Oil Drain Plug; M12 x 1.5 removes metal fragments circulating in engine oil, helping to extend engine life by preventing bearing damage. It is installed by replacing the existing oil drain plug and functions continuously to protect high-performance and high-mileage engines.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from billet 6061 aluminum, this drain plug features a robust, durable design with a powerful neodymium magnet embedded within. It includes a reliable Dowty oil seal to prevent leaks, offering a high-quality finish built to last under demanding conditions.
Installation. Installation is straightforward and rated easy, requiring no drilling. The drain plug installs with a 24 mm hex head and should be torqued to 15 lb-ft for a secure fit without risk of thread stripping.
Warranty. This product is covered by a lifetime limited warranty provided by the manufacturer.
Application. Fits most BMW vehicles from 1981 to present, select Mercedes vehicles up to 1985, Porsche 912E and 914 models, and applies to Mishimoto aluminum radiators.
