Description

One of the more immediate issues is how to get your vehicle to warm up faster when you have to get to work in the morning. Fortunately, there’s the Mishimoto High-Temperature Primary Cooling System Thermostat. This, unlike its low-temperature cousin, this high-temperature primary cooling system thermostat is engineered to restrict coolant flow until your Powerstroke has reached optimal operating temperatures. More to the point, this thermostat will allow coolant flow at 199/206 degrees, which is higher than the 194/201 degrees needed by your truck’s stock counterpart. This feature makes this high-temperature thermostat ideal, especially if you live up north.
Resilient Build Quality. This thermostat features an OE design with a frame that’s machine-formed from high-grade stainless steel. This offers exceptional strength and durability. Its valve assembly for its part is constructed from resilient copper alloy, making it particularly corrosion-resistant and an excellent heat conductor. Also, this assembly includes a high-quality rubber O-ring designed to provide a proper seal when installed.
Hassle-Free Install Procedure. This thermostat installs into your truck’s factory locations without the need for modifications. However, disassembly of certain components like the air intake and radiator hose is needed in order to gain access to the mounting location. Also, installation is completed using just standard hand tools, which makes for an overall hassle-free procedure overall.
