Description
UNIVERSAL EMISSIONS CONTROL. The MagnaFlow Universal Catalytic Converter; California Grade CARB Compliant; 2.50-Inch is engineered to reduce harmful emissions and ensure your vehicle stays compliant with strict environmental regulations. Designed as a replacement catalytic converter, it effectively prevents the check engine light from activating due to emissions faults and is suitable for various installations when cutting and welding custom fitment are required.
CONSTRUCTION AND APPEARANCE. Crafted from high-strength 16 gauge 409 stainless steel tubing, this catalytic converter provides excellent resistance to corrosion and wear. The clam-shell body design features durable 308 stainless steel MIG welds and an aluminized steel heat shield, delivering a compact, lightweight, and robust component optimized for confined engine bay installations. The finish is a clean, brushed stainless steel texture ensuring longevity and professional appearance.
INSTALLATION. Installation requires professional welding as this converter uses a weld-on inlet and outlet. There is no need for drilling; however, cutting and welding ensure the universal converter is precisely fitted to the vehicle’s exhaust system.
WARRANTY. This catalytic converter is backed by a limited warranty covering construction and emissions performance for 5 years.
APPLICATION. Designed to fit the 1999 to 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, ensuring compliance with California Air Resources Board standards without affecting vehicle electronics or emissions systems. No exclusions or fitment limitations are indicated for this application.
