Description
Universal Catalytic Converter. The Magnaflow Universal Catalytic Converter is a California Grade CARB Compliant unit with a 2.5-inch inlet and outlet designed to reduce vehicle emissions while maintaining optimal engine performance. It serves as a critical component in the exhaust system by converting harmful gases into less harmful emissions, helping to keep your vehicle compliant with strict environmental regulations. Compliance with CARB is valid only if the vehicle’s Executive Order number and Engine Family Number appear in the catalytic converter’s CARB Executive Order.
Construction and Appearance. This catalytic converter features durable stainless steel construction with 308 stainless steel MIG welds and 16 gauge 409 stainless steel tubing for exceptional corrosion resistance and long service life. The compact spun body design is finished in stainless steel, providing a corrosion-resistant surface for reliable performance under harsh conditions.
Installation. Welding is required for installation and no clamps, hangers, gaskets, or mounting hardware are included. The compact design enables installation in confined spaces; however, professional installation is recommended to ensure proper fit and function in various vehicle applications.
Warranty. This catalytic converter includes a limited 5-year construction and emissions warranty, reflecting confidence in its durability and regulatory compliance.
