These Gear Pods are side-mounted, which provides you with easy access to your water-resistant, locking storage box that has been sealed with automotive-grade silicon to keep it safe from the elements. Two keys are included. Every Leitner Designs product is made in the USA and this Gear Pod is patent pending.

Quality Materials. The Gear Pod is manufactured from roto-molded high-density polyethylene, which is the same high-quality material used in the manufacturing of kayaks. The brackets are made from dual-stage powder coated steel. The fasteners are plated with grade 8.8 zinc.

Specifications. The weight of the Gear Pod, brackets, nuts, and bolts is 18 lbs. This storage box has a weight capacity of 65 lbs. The storage space is 10.5 gallons (1.4 cubic feet).
