Description
Eliminate Engine Sludge. While your truck’s positive crankcase ventilator or PCV valving system provides a lot of benefits, it does have one drawback. It has the tendency to inadvertently vent back vaporized oil into your intake. These oil vapors can accumulate over time, transforming into troublesome engine sludge. The J&L 3.0 Driver Side Black Oil Separator helps resolve this issue by effectively trapping these oil vapors, condensing, and finally collecting them in a leak-proof catch can. By doing so, this oil separator helps maintain your truck’s performance.
Advanced Design. The J&L 3.0 Driver Side Black Oil Separator works by using a filtering system that consists of fine stainless steel mesh and an aluminum honeycomb filter. This system traps the vented oil vapors, and condenses it back to its liquid form, where it’s held in a catch can till it’s time to be discarded. This catch can has a 3-ounce capacity, which is good for about 3,000 miles before it needs to be emptied.
Rugged Aluminum Build Quality. The J&L V3.0 Driver Side Black Oil Separator is made out of billet aluminum and is CNC-milled for superior strength minus the weight. The oil separator’s catch can features an O-ring preventing leaks, and a knurled base for easy opening even when covered in oil. Lastly, this oil separator is anodized in black, for corrosion protection.
Trouble-Free, No-Mod Installation. The J&L 3.0 Driver Side Black Oil Separator is designed as a direct install component that requires no modifications. This oil separator utilizes hoses with a push-lock system that installs without the need for clamps. Also, this assembly installs using just standard hand tools.
