This is achieved by an OE-style CHMSL (center high-mounted stop lamp) LED third brake light with a built-in camera. Moreover, the camera unit is angled to ensure maximum visibility of your truck bed via your infotainment or media center’s screen. This way, you’re able to efficiently monitor any cargo you’re carrying for pilferage or from falling out accidentally.
Tough Build Quality. This kit’s LED third brake light cargo camera comes in a factory design with a black housing and a clear prismatic lens crafted from tough automotive-grade plastic. The third brake light itself is powered by high-quality LED chips that produce intense light. What’s more, this assembly is completely sealed for ideal all-weather performance.
Hassle-Free Install Procedure. This third brake LED light cargo camera is designed to install into your truck’s factory third brake light location as a direct replacement. Application. The Infotainment Factory CHMSL Third Brake LED Light Cargo Camera Kit fits all 2013 to 2017 RAM 1500 models.
Application Note. All 2013 to 2015 model trucks equipped with the 8.40-inch infotainment system must have their software upgraded to the 17.11.07 version.
Important Notes.
- All 2013-2015 RAM trucks with the 8.4-inch radio display must feature the 17.11.07 software update. This update allows for a cargo camera input. All other updates will not work.
- All 2013-2015 RAM radio upgrades from Infotainment will automatically feature the proper software update prior to shipping.
