The 3rd Brake Light Camera Kit for 4 to 8.4-Inch Display enhances rear visibility by adding a supplemental camera discreetly integrated into the factory third brake light housing. It allows drivers to switch between the factory tailgate camera and the new third brake light camera, improving safety during trailer hookups and cargo monitoring without relying on a spotter.
Construction and Appearance. This kit features a durable trim bezel with an OEM fit designed to slide behind the factory third brake light assembly. It houses a high-resolution CMOS camera with a black housing seamlessly blending with the vehicle's exterior. The components are designed to meet IP67 standards for water and dust protection, ensuring reliable performance under harsh conditions.
Installation. Installation requires removal of the factory third brake light and dash access to connect the plug-and-play harness to the radio’s camera input. No drilling is necessary; the kit utilizes existing mounting points and connectors for an OEM-quality finish.
Warranty. This product includes a three-year warranty, providing confidence in its durability and quality.
Application. Designed specifically for RAM 1500 trucks from 2013 through 2018 equipped with factory backup camera systems that display on the factory radio screen.
