    Description

    Increases Acceleration and Torque. The 5.13:1 gear ratio of the G2 8.5 in. & 8.6 in. Rear Ring Gear and Pinion Kit dramatically improves the torque transferred to your wheels. This makes hauling and towing easier, especially on inclined or rough types of terrain. Acceleration is also significantly increased for a more responsive driving performance.

    Manufactured to Meet Performance Needs. The G2’s Performance Series 8.5 in. & 8.6 in. Rear Ring Gear and Pinion Kit is made from hardened 8620 steel for added reliability. The strong alloy also allows it to handle the high torque being produced by the truck’s engine. Moreover, behind the seemingly simple design of the gear and pinion is a state of the art manufacturing process. This enables the part’s design to meet exact tolerances and specification for seamless mating of gears.

    Requires Professional Mechanic for Installation. Replacing the rear ring gear and pinion is a complicated task that involves plenty of moving transmission parts and even specialty tools. Installation is best left to professionals.
