Description

IFS Front Ring Gear and Pinion Kit with a right set of wheels. With a higher gear ratio like 4.56, you get lower gearing and increased lower-end torque. This is great for heavy-duty towing and hauling. You get a better experience on off-road inclined trails too.
Delivers Maximum Durability. The G2 8.25 in. IFS Front Ring Gear and Pinion Kit is a vast improvement on your stock gears. The company uses only premium materials and state-of-the-art manufacturing process for their aftermarket gears. The gears are forged from 8620 triple allow steel with higher core strength to ensure maximum durability. It undergoes further heat treatment to reinforce the toughness of the metal. The forged gears are then machined to match OEM specification to ensure a tight fit and proper backlash. Mating surfaces are further lapped to prevent too much friction, which is the common cause of wear and noise.
Re-Tune your Truck. One slight drawback of changing gear ratio is that it affects your speedometer readings. Remember to retune your truck’s computer with a handheld tuner (sold separately) to ensure accurate new readings.
Professional Installation Only. Modifications in your differential assembly require a professional mechanic or at least someone with extensive mechanical skills and experience. Note that specialized tools and equipment are needed to successfully assemble the G2 8.25 in. IFS Front Ring Gear and Pinion Kit. That’s why it’s a good idea to bring your truck to your trusted shop for this installation.
10-Year Product Warranty. G2 8.25 in. IFS Front Ring Gear and Pinion Kist are covered by 10-year manufacturer’s warranty. This standard warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. Exclusions apply such normal wear and incidental damages. Please visit the manufacturer’s website for the full list of exclusions.
Technical Note. GMC Sierra 4WD models should update both front and rear axles to match the gear ratio. Driving on a 4WD with varying RPMs could result in in damages to components such as the drive shafts, axles, and transmission.
