Description

This kit is engineered for GMC’s Sierra 1500 with an 8.25 in. ring gear diameter. The ring and pinion has a gear ratio of 3.73, a modest increase that’s perfect for daily driving. You get better wheel torque for hauling, towing, and other applications without sacrificing fuel mileage.
Surpass OEM Quality. The G2 8.25 in. IFS Front Ring Gear and Pinion Kit can’t even compare with cheaper stock gears. This aftermarket upgrade is forged from premium 8620 triple alloy steel, heat-treated for added strength. The forged gears are machined to perfection using only the latest state-of-the-art technology to match OEM specifications. This makes for a hassle-free, direct fit install. The parts are further enhanced with lapped mating surfaces to ensure a noise-free ride and to prevent premature wear on your gears.
Speedometer Re-Tuning Recommended. It’s important to note that changing your gear ratio would cause your speedometer to give inaccurate readings. Don’t forget to reprogram your truck’s computer with a handheld tuner after you had your new gears installed.
Prevent Installation Issues. Installing your G2 Master Bearing Install Kit is not the best opportunity to experiment on your truck. It’s recommended that you leave the installation to the professionals unless you are confident enough in your mechanical skills. Special tools and equipment will be required in assembling your truck’s differential.
Warranty Information. The company warrants the G2 8.25 in. IFS Front Ring Gear and Pinion Kit to be free from material and manufacturing defects for up to 10 years. Exclusions include but are not limited to damages caused by handling, shipping, installation, and more. Visit the manufacturer’s website to learn the full list of exclusions.
Technical Note. GMC Sierra 4WD models would need to have matching gear ratios on the front and rear axles. Mismatched RPMs could result in damages on parts such as drive shafts, axles, transmission, and more.
