Description
Performance Muffler. The Flowmaster 40 Series Delta Flow Center/Center Oval Muffler with 2-inch inlet and outlet is engineered to improve exhaust scavenging while reducing interior sound resonance. It produces an aggressive exterior tone ideal for street and strip use, balancing sound management with enhanced performance.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from durable, fully welded 16 gauge aluminized steel, this muffler features a high-temperature black painted finish for corrosion resistance and a sleek look. Its chambered design incorporates the proprietary Delta Flow technology, which eliminates internal packing, preventing degradation over time and ensuring long-lasting performance.
Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical skill and offers clamp-on or weld-on inlet options. New hangers are required for mounting and are sold separately. No special drilling is necessary.
Application. This muffler fits a wide range of 4- and 6-cylinder engines, classic and late-model muscle cars, street rods, street/strip vehicles, and trucks/SUVs. It is designed for universal fitment, with some adaptation expected to accommodate specific vehicle configurations and exhaust setups.
