Description
Upgrade your Winch. Made in basic gray, the Factor 55 Gray FlatLink is a tough and hardy replacement for the hook on your 1999-2024 Sierra pickup truck. With a 3/4" machined hole to accept a screw pin shackle or D-ring, the FlatLink enables a setup where the recovery strap is completely enclosed rather than in an open-sided hook where it can potentially slip or pop out when tension is temporarily relaxed. In the other direction, the shear pin opens with a snap ring, enabling the insertion of a rope or steel cable eye and freeing you from the need for splicing. The FlatLink can accommodate a synthetic rope or metal cable with a diameter of up to 3/8". Its max working load is 16,000 lbs, and ultimate failure doesn't occur until 40,000+ lbs.
Excellent Materials. The FlatLink's features, including its lightly rounded edges and the extremely smooth powder-coat finish, are designed to prevent rope fraying should a line or strap encounter an edge. Carrying a 1 year warranty, this Factor 55 shackle mount is made from lightweight but heavy-duty 6000-series billet aluminum, while the 5/8" shear pin is Grade 5 steel. The component is made thin at 1.75 inches so that it can fold flat against the fairlead rather than jutting out, and has removable EPDM rubber guards so it won't scrape the fairlead surface.
