Description
Leading Recovery Aid. Powder-coated in basic black for a stealthily professional look, the Factor 55 Black FlatLink is a unique shackle mount design to make your GMC Sierra 1500 recovery efforts easier and safer. Rather than capturing the recovery strap with an open hook, which can fray the strap or even let it loose to flail dangerously around, the FlatLink secures the rope eye or strap end with a sturdy shear pin. This pin is attached by a simple snap ring, allowing it to be removed or fixed in place in a moment. The FlatLink holds synthetic ropes and steel cables up to 3/8 inch diameter, while the precision-machined hole in the other end of the shackle mount is designed for standard 3/4 inch screw pin shackles and D-rings.
Built for Heavy Use. Fabricated out of extremely durable but lightweight billet aluminum (6000 series), the Factor 55 Black FlatLink has a 16,000 lb max load rating for work, and won't fail structurally until 40,000 lbs. Covered by a 1 year limited warranty, it has a black powder-coat finish to match a popular Sierra color and give it a little extra corrosion resistance. The part is 1.75" thick and can fold flat against hawse or roller fairleads; it works with fairlead license plate mounting brackets, too.
