Description
Upgrade your plastic OEM or aftermarket engine coolant thermostat housing on your 6.7L Power Stroke
Our more durable cast aluminum model is a direct replacement that works with all factory and replacement thermostats. New O-rings included with the kit.
Problem Overview
- Complaint: Coolant leaks around the thermostat housing area, a low coolant level, or the smell of coolant during engine operation or after operation.
- Cause: A cracked thermostat housing will result in a coolant leak, potentially leading to engine overheating and damage.
Visual Inspection
Carefully inspect the thermostat housing for cracks or damage.
Pressure Test
Perform a coolant system pressure test to ensure the system maintains pressure and observe for leaks at all split lines, including the thermostat housing and coolant crossover manifold.
