It serves as an effective shield on areas such as firewalls, transmission tunnels, and fuel cells, maintaining comfort and safety by limiting heat transfer.
_x000D__x000D_Construction and Appearance. This product features a 10 mil embossed aluminum face bonded to a 1/8 inch composite glass-fiber core with a finely woven glass-fiber backing. The aluminum face has a dimpled texture to enhance heat reflection and structural rigidity. The overall thickness is 3/16 inch, allowing the shield to be easily shaped and trimmed to fit minimal clearance areas effectively.
_x000D__x000D_Installation. Installation is straightforward with no drilling generally required. The material can be cut to size for a custom fit and requires that the aluminum side faces the heat source for optimal performance.
